BOSTON – The Sacred Heart women's track and field team had four top-five finishes at the Harvard Invitational at Gordon Track in Boston.
Kolbi Smith finished third in the shot put with a throw of 13.23m. She also was third in the weight throw with a toss of 15.75m. Mareena Dimilia was fourth in the weight throw (14.79m) and sixth in the shot put (12.53m). Sara Isaacson finished fourth in the pole vault, clearing 3.20m. Emily Kiss cleared 3.05m in the pole vault to finish seventh, with Victoria Piscitelli placing 10th in the event with a vault of 2.60m.
Victoria Pileggi and Megan Kittler both cleared 1.50m to finish seventh in the high jump. Dylan Baker posted a seventh-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.14m. The Pioneers best finish on the track came from Teresa Gagliostro, who ran a time of 5:18.29 in the mile to finish 11th.
Sacred Heart now prepares for the NEC Indoor Track & Field Championships, held at Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, Md. Feb. 8-9.
