The award, announced Tuesday by the league office is sponsored by the league's Faculty Athletic Representatives and is bestowed upon an NEC male and female student-athlete who have exhausted their eligibility, graduated, and posted the highest GPA in the Conference at the conclusion of the academic year. Belizze was also one of 42 Sacred Heart student-athletes on the NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll. 16 SHU student's were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, honoring those with a 3.75 or better grade point average.
