SHU Softball to Play Home Games at Fairfield University Tomorrow

Sacred Heart vs. Fairleigh Dickinson Quickie Notes

Setting the Scene...  The SHU softball team plays its first home games of 2012 at Fairfield University against the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights in a NEC showdown.  Sacred Heart's opening day at the newly renovated Pioneer Park has been pushed back two weeks as the final touches are being put on the stadium.

Critical Matchup...  The Pioneers sit at an even .500 in league play while Fairleigh Dickinson is 5-1 and is perched atop the league standings.  SHU remains in the playoff chase as they look to defend their 2012 NEC Championship.

Scouting the Knights...  Caitlin Bradac paces the FDU attack with a .436 batting average along with four homers.  Megan Reiner is the squad's ace in the pitching circle, posting a perfect 12-0 record and a 1.34 ERA in 2012.
