SHU Beats Becker 3-1

SHELTON, Conn.—  The Sacred Heart women's hockey earned a 3-1 win over Becker college on Saturday at the Sports Center of Connecticut.

Katie Stueve got the scoring going with her goal at 9:11 in the first period as she buried a shot from a Taylor Moreland assist.

The Pioneers followed that up with a goal by Savannah Hersey in the second period at the 6:04 mark, assisted by Hayley Payne and Meghan Kebalka on the power play.

The Hawks would respond would reduce SHU's lead back to one goal just over two minutes with Claudia Gee scoring at the 88:48 mark, assisted by Nikolle Storey.

SHU earned its second power play goal at the 12:58 of the second period. Olivia Bryant finished well from Moreland's second assist of the game.

The Pioneers are back in action Friday De. 8 at Lebanon Valley at 3:30 pm.
