Sacred Heart Downed by RIT, 11-0

Rochester, NY - The Sacred Heart womens hockey team was defeated friday night by the RIT Tigers, by a score of 11-0. Sacred Heart drops to 11-10-2 on the season, while RIT improves to 11-10-3. The 11 goals is the most the Pioneers have given up this season.

The Pioneers were doomed by a a four goal first period for RIT, including a couple power play goals to start the game. RIT would score five more in the second period, and finished the onslaught with two more in the third period. The Kunichka sisters accounted for eight points for the Tigers in the 11-0 victory. RIT tallied 87 shots on goal in the impressive victory.

The Tigers and Pioneers are right back at it tomorrow afternoon at 2 PM.
