Pioneer Field Hockey Team Featured by NEC for Be The Match Challange Bone Marrow Drive


(Fairfield, CT) - The Sacred Heart Pioneer field hockey team was recently featured by the Northeast Conference for their work in registering 230 people to the "Be the Match Challange" Bone Marrow Drive.

Other field hockey teams in the notheast, including Quinnipiac, Bryant, Sienna, and Ryder,  participated as well in the initiative to sign up potential donars for those in need of bone marrow transplants.  The schools combined to sign up a total of 623 new people to be part of the "Be the Match" registry, with Sacred Heart signing up the most of all five schools with a total of 230.
