Jackie Carbonetto (Blauvelt, N.Y.) has been a constant strength for Sacred Heart in her four years donning a Pioneer uniform and Wednesday night was honored for her contributions this season as she was named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association's All-American Second Team.
In March, at the regional in Allentown, Penn., Carbonetto finished third qualifying for one of 16 spots in the USBC Intercollegiate National Singles Championship. On April 16, she will be competing for the Individual Championship before joining the rest of the Pioneers for the Intercollegiate Team National Championship for the rest of the weekend.
Throughout the season she averaged 207 in NCAA competition. The Blauvelt, N.Y. native has solidified her spot as one of college bowling elite by earning a position on the 2013 Junior Team USA finishing second in this past summer's Junior Gold competition. For the second year in a row, the senior was named to the All-Northeast Conference First Team after being named NEC Bowler of the Week once this season.
