Series Notes... This is the 24th time in program history the Pioneers have played Saint Francis University

Dominating Defense... The Pioneers 26-point win over St. Francis Brooklyn in the quarterfinal round Sunday was mostly due to Sacred Heart's stifling defense. SHU recoreded 20 steals, while forcing the Terriers into 32 turnovers. What's more impressive is this was the the Pioneers' second 20-steal performance of the year (20 at Saint Francis U) and the 32 forced turnovers did not beat the season high when Sacred Heart forced Central Connecticut State into 34.
Swanson's Record... With the 64-38 win over St. Francis Brooklyn in the 2013 Northeast Conference Tournament quarterfinal on Sunday, Sacred Heart Head Coach Ed Swanson tied former Saint Francis U Head Coach Jenny Przekwas for the all-time Northeast Conference Tournament record of 16 wins.
