Fairfield, CT—This fall, the Sacred Heart University Women's Basketball team is stepping out into the community and conducting youth basketball clinics at various gyms all over the state. The team began their series last week in West Haven and continues it this Tuesday at a YMCA in Ansonia.
The Pioneers are using this opportunity to set a positive example for the children in the area. It is also a chance to pass on their skills to the next generation of players. These clinics are a part of the team's effort to stay active and present in the community. The team will also be visiting Stamford (Oct. 29th), Newtown(Nov. 1st and Jan. 5th), Westport (Nov. 9th), Shelton (Nov. 19th), New Canaan (Nov. 28th) and Bridgeport (Dec. 19th).
Don't miss it when the Pioneers open the 2011-12 season on November 11th at Siena College, and Sunday, November 13th when they take the court in the William H. Pitt Center for the home opener.
