 Full Release

Fairfield, CT – The Sacred Heart men's volleyball was selected to finish 7th in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association's (EIVA) preseason coaches' poll. Penn State was chosen as the preseason favorite to win the conference. The Nittany Lions received 10 points and six of the eight first-place votes. George Mason and Princeton each picked up a first-place vote while Harvard rounded out the top four selections.

The Pioneers look to bounce back this season after notching a disappointing 6-22 record last season, including 2-12 in the EIVA. Head Coach Kelani Efstahioui starts his first season with the Pioneers looking to turn the program around.

Sacred Heart kicks off the 2013 season on January 12th at home against Grand Canyon.
