Freshman Patrick Sibley (Valey Center, CA) took home his first career EIVA Hay player of the week honor and insured the Pioneers captured the award for the fourth time in the last five weeks. The 6-8 middle player recorded a career high eight blocks and added four kills on just seven swings in the Pioneers 3-0 sweep of Harvard. Sibley was also solid at the service line and scorched a match high four aces as the men's volleyball team has now won five of its last six matches.
Sibley picked up the award one week after his brother Shaun Sibley of George Mason was named the EIVA Tait division player of the week. The Pioneers return to action Tuesday night in a 7:00 pm Hay division tilt against the Highlanders of NJIT.
