(Fairfield, CT) - Brittney Lane (Greenwich, NY) and Jeremy Rosado (Brooklyn, NY) were both honored as Northeast Conference Women's and Men's Track Athletes of the Week and Gregory Hazell (Airmont, NY) was named NEC Men's Rookie of the Week for their performances in the CTC Indoor Relays at Yale University this past weekend.
Lane won the 5000-Meter to lead the SHU Women to a 15th consecutive team title at the CTC Relay Carnival with a time of 17:31.67. In doing so, she also took an early NEC leading time set a personal best by 20 seconds, and most importantly, qualified for the ECAC Championships in March.
Rosado produced the fastest 60-meter hurdles time in the league on opening weekend with a first place time of 8.22s. With his victory, Rosado qualified for the IC4A Championship in March as well.
Hazell triple jumped his way past a field of 14 competitors while accounting for the NEC's top mark thus far in his collegiate debut. He qualified for the New England Championships with a bound of 14.04m (46' 0.75").
