FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Sacred Heart University men's ice hockey team looks to get on the winning track as it hits the road to face Atlantic Hockey opponent Bentley at 7:05 pm on Wednesday evening.

Game Coverage... Audio and video for this evening's games will be available at www.SacredHeartPioneers.com in Game Central, powered by Stretch Internet. The games will also be carried by the America One Network (formerly B2).

About the Pioneers... Sacred Heart is still in search of its first win of the 2010-11 season, following a 5-0 blanking at Colgate on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore goaltender Steven Legatto holds a .886 save percentage and has made 30 saves in each of the five games so far this season. Senior forward David Berube and Patrick Knowlton have three points each. Berube has dished out two assists and scored once, while Knowlton has scored twice and added an assist.

Scouting the Falcons... After dropping their first three games of the season, the Falcons have tied Clakrson 3-3 and taken down Northeastern 2-1 to enter tonight's game 1-3-1 overall. Senior goaltender Joe Calvi was recently named the Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week and currently holds a .932 save percentage and a 3.00 GAA in two starts. Junior Jamie Nudy has registered a team high three points on one goal and two assists, while freshman Brett Gensler has tallied two scores on the season.

Last Time They Met... Despite a run to the AHA championship game, Bentley was the only conference opponent throughout the 2009-10 season that Sacred Heart never got the better of. The Pioneers visited JAR Skating Arena last November and came out with a loss and a tie. The latter of the two was a defensive 1-1 battle. Nick Johnson scored SHU's lone goal, on a power play, with a little more than five minutes left in the first. Bentley answered with the game-tying goal just 34 second into the second on a score by Joe Campanelli. Olivier St. Onge stopped 29 shots, while his counterpart Kyle Rank made 32 saves.

Vs. Bentley All-Time... The Pioneers hold a 18-15-3 edge over the Falcons in the all-time series between the conference rivals. SHU won the first ever meeting on February 2, 1994, the first year of the program's existance, 9-4. The last win for the Pioneers in the series came at home on January 23, 2009 in a 6-5 overtime victory. The last time one of these teams swept a weekend series against the other was in December 2006 when Sacred Heart took a pair of identical 3-1 wins at home.

Pioneers at Harbor Yard... Sacred Heart and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, have teamed up to play five doubleheaders at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport throughout the season. The first game at the arena is November 6 at 3:30 pm vs. AIC. The Pioneers will also play games in Bridgeport on January 8 vs. Air Force, February 5 vs. Bentley, and February 20 vs. Holy Cross. The team's senior day will also be held at the arena on February 26 against Army.

Up Next... The Pioneers will call the Arena at Harbor Yard "home" for its next contest as they host American International for the first of five games to be played in Bridgeport.  The pucks drops at the arena at 3:30 pm.
