SHU Hoops Madness Set For This Friday!

Come to the Pitt Center Friday, October 14 for SHU Hoops Madness, the annual party event to tip-off of the men's and women's basketball seasons.  Fans will officially meet the Pioneer teams, win free raffle prizes, and much more.

SHU Hoops Madness will again include a slam dunk competition featuring members of the men's squad.  This year one lucky fan will earn the opportunity to take a half court shot worth $1,000.  In addition, everyone in attendance will have the chance to win great raffle prizes.  The Sacred Heart dance team, pep band, and cheerleaders will also perform live to preview the 2011-12 campaign.

The C&C Music Factory, singers of the popular song "Everybody Dance Now", will also be performing live.

SHU Hoops Madness is run and sponsored by the Sacred Heart University student government.  Randy Brochu, broadcaster for the Sacred Heart Sports Network, will serve as emcee for the event.  Doors will open at 6:30 pm with festivities beginning promptly at 7:00 pm.
