SHU Equestrian Competes at the Wesleyan University IHSA Hunt Seat Competition

Hebron, CT - On November 10th the Sacred Heart Equestrian team competed in the Wesleyan University IHSA Hunt Seat Competition. The Pioneers accumulated 24 points, finishing in fourth place out of ten teams. UCONN took home first place with 34 points.

Senior Devan Beaulieu (Ludlow, MA) finished 6th in the Open Fences, as well as third in the open flat. Freshman Samantha Genise (Freehold, NJ) rode Doodles to a first place finish in Open Fencing and rode Jet to a sixth place finish in Int. Flat. Freshman Ally D'Amico (Cheshire, CT) finished fifth in the Int. Flat and finished second in the Open Flat riding Hopper. Freshman Rebecca Salzillo (Swansea, RI) rode WCF Tucker to a fifth place finish in the Novice Fences and freshman Katie Gray (Colchester, VT) rode Ellie to a first place finish in Novice Flat.

The Pioneers are back in action this coming weekend at the University of Connecticut.
