Pioneers Compete at UMass

The Sacred Heart University Western Equestrian Team traveled to University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA on November 12th for an IHSA Western show.

The morning started off with a strong performance from senior Alyssa Woronik, placing second in Open Horsemanship. Junior Emma Joseph followed right behind with a fourth place finish in her Walk-Jog class. Sophomore Danielle Belson and freshman Taylor Robbins both had a tough ride on the same horse finishing in fifth and sixth place in their respective Intermediate Horsemanship class. Besides having a large class, sophomore Maggie Vogel and junior Molly-Kate Carven made their presence known by finishing second and fourth in their Novice Horsemanship class. Senior Adrianna Dattoli completed the day of competition by placing third in her Advance Horsemanship class. Overall, the team did well and is ready to take on the next competition on December 3rd at Mt. Holyoke College.
