RALEIGH, N.C. – Sacred Heart women's track and field junior Olivia Weiss ran a personal-best time in the 1500m to highlight the Pioneers' efforts at the North Carolina State Raleigh Relays over the weekend. Competing against some of the best competition from across the nation, SHU's contingent showed well racing against several of the top performers hailing from schools out of the ACC and BIG EAST, among others.
- Weiss showed very well in her appearance, crossing the line in 4:35.46 to set a new individual record and place a solid 62nd out of 160 in the 1500m
- Junior Jacqueline Thorne joined Weiss in the 1500m and placed 100th with a time of 4:41.27
- Senior Erika Johnson competed in both the discus (36.94m) and hammer throw (40.82m) to conclude the day for the Pioneers
The Pioneers head down to Princeton University on Saturday, April 6th for their next competition at the Sam Howell Invitational. Competition is set to begin at Noon.
