FAIRFIELD, Conn.—The Sacred Heart University Women's Tennis Team welcomed in two members to join the team for the incoming class of 2023 head coach William Boe-Wiegarrd announced this afternoon. The Pioneers return ten members from last year's team bringing in much experience heading into the 2019-20 season.
Vitalina Golod is the first new member comes to SHU from Ukraine and attended the Ross School in East Setauket, New York. In her final season she compiled an impressive 8-4 record and is regarded as one of the top Ross School products the school has ever had. She ranks in the top 20 in the New York region and ranked among the top 200 in the nation.
Sinead Keane is the second member comes to SHU from Charlotte, North Carolina where she played at the SC Connections Academy. She ranks number eight in the USTA State Rankings and places in the top 100 in the USTA National Rankings. She tallied a 12-16 record in her final season and went 6-0 against two star recruits.
