  • Softball Takes One of Two Games on Day Two of Gardner-Webb Tournament

    The Sacred Heart University Softball team split day two of play at the Gardner-Webb Tournament today taking the first game over Oakland University by a final of 11-7 then falling to Loyola Chicago in the second game by a final score of 7-2. The Pioneers final game of the tournament tomorrow afternoon has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled. The team will return to action on Friday Mar. 1 when the Pioneers head to Virginia to take on Cleveland State at the Liberty University Tournament.
  • Softball Splits Season Opener on Day One of Gardner-Webb Tournament

    The Sacred Heart University softball team split its season opener this afternoon falling to Gardner-Webb in the first game 18-0 in five innings and coming out victorious in the second game against Hartford 10-3. The Pioneers will continue play at the Gardner-Webb Tournament tomorrow when the Pioneers face Oakland at 10:00 a.m. followed by Loyola Chicago at 4:00 p.m.

    The Sacred Heart University softball team was projected to finish first at the conclusion of the 2019 season when the Northeast Conference released its Preseason Poll Thursday afternoon. The league's head coaches ranked the teams one through eight and were prohibited from voting their own programs.

    Sacred Heart University Softball Head Coach Pam London announced on Wednesday that Myah Eldred, Olivia Vadas, and Carlie Williams have signed their National Letters of Intent to attend Sacred Heart for the 2020 season.
  • Softball Releases 2019 Schedule

    Co-Head Coaches Elizabeth Luckie and Pam London as well as the Sacred Heart University softball team announced its 2019 schedule Friday afternoon. This year's group looks to up last season's 31-25 record and Northeast Conference tournament clip, 1-2. The Pioneers have 55 games on their slate with 17 as NEC clashes and six to be played in front of a SHU crowd.
  • Softball Tabbed 19th out of 122 teams in National Division One GPA

    The Sacred Heart University Softball team finished 19th out of 112 teams for the highest GPA in Division 1 as announced in a release last week. The teams combined GPA was 3.540. Grand Canyon finished 1st with a 3.790 GPA.
