Sacred Heart Shut Out by Holy Cross, 2-0

WORCESTER, Mass - The Holy Cross Crusaders scored two second period goals on their way to a 2-0 win over Sacred Heart Saturday night in the ECAC Open semi-finals. The Pioneers fall to 6-15-6 on the season.

Senior goalie Alexius Schutt (Elk River, MN) made 53 saves in the loss. The Pioneers were outshot 55-18 by Holy Cross.

Kylee Sullivan scored a short-handed goal at 3:30 of the second period to put Holy Cross up 1-0. Sullivan was assisted by Nicole Giannino.

Mary Klimasewiski scored the Crusaders' second goal at 6:26 of the second period, assisted by Francesca Panarelli.

The Pioneers and Crusaders were both 0-for-4 on the power play.

Sacred Heart will play in the ECAC Open Consolation game tomorrow afternoon against St. Michael's.
