ST. AUGUSTINE, FL–– The Sacred Heart University women's golf team finished 5th out of 13 teams at the Lonnie Barton Invitational. The team finished with a score of +64 and 640 overall.
Ana Contreras led the Pioneers, finishing 5th out of 82 competitors. Contreras finished 8-over par and shot a 76 in both rounds.
Hana Bowman finished tied for 26th shooting 18-over par and 162 on the weekend. Bowman started the tournament off strong, shooting a 80 in the first round.
Lauren Pelster tied for 39th, posting a total score of 167. The Pioneer shot 23-over par, and stayed consistent shooting a 83 and 84 over the weekend.
Maya Isom and Christina Massei both tied for 51st and shot 28-over par. Isom finished the weekend strong shooting a 81 in the final round, while Massei finished with a 84. Cora Kaproski rounded out the team, finishing 82nd for the Pioneers. Kaproski shot 72-over par and finished with a total score of 216.
The Pioneers will remain in Florida to compete at the Lady Cat International in Daytona Beach, FL. Action begins on Thursday March 7th and will conclude on Friday March 8th.
