Women's Fencing Drops A Pair Of Matches at Historical Meet

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Sacred Heart women's fencing team dropped a pair of dual meets at the annual Historical Meet hosted by Columbia on Wednesday night. 

The Pioneers fell to Columbia 22-5 and dropped a 16-11 contest to NYU to end the meet. SHU's epee squad of Ashley Cherry, Daria Rudakova and Samantha Abbott followed up their strong outings from this past weekend with an 8-1 showing over the Violets.

SHU competes next at the NEIFC Championship on Saturday, February 24 at Mt. Holyoke College.
