Women's Bowling Defeats Fairleigh Dickinson to Advance to NEC Championship

HAMILTON, NJ— The Sacred Heart women's bowling team defeated Fairleigh Dickinson University to advance to the final round of the NEC Championship.

FDU took the first match, defeating SHU by only a three point margin, 954-951, in the traditional team game. Sacred Heart came back to win the quint baker bout 926-869. The Pioneer's comeback win forced a Best-of-7 Baker tiebreaker. SHU earned a 4-3 win over FDU in the tiebreaker.

The Pioneers advance to Match 7 on Sunday, March 24th where they will face Mount St. Mary's for the NEC Championship title. The Pioneers previously defeated the Mountaineers in Match 2 of the NEC Tournament.
