Women's Bowling Sweeps Mount St. Mary's in Day One of NEC Championships

HAMILTON, NJ –– The Sacred Heart Women's Bowling team swept Mount St. Mary's in the second round of the NEC Women's Bowling Championship Tournament on Friday. Rachel Bamford led the Pioneers in the Team Traditional Round with a 257.

In the Quint Baker Round Sacred Heart defeated Mount St. Mary's 3-2. The Pioneers started Baker play strong, defeating the Mountaineers in the first round. SHU dropped the second and third round, but pulled away with two wins in rounds 4 and 5 to secure a Mega Match win.

With a Mega Match win, the Pioneers advance to the third round on Saturday, March 22 and will face Fairleigh Dickinson University.
