A standout student-athlete at Saint Joseph's University, Ashley Prim joins the SHU coaching staff as the Coordinator of Basketball Operations for her first season in 2019-20.
Prim will handle all aspects of day-to-day operations with the women’s basketball program including travel arrangements, equipment needs, team communications, organizing youth camp and player development. She joins an established NEC power in a Sacred Heart program that has never missed qualifying for the NEC Tournament after joining the league in 1999-00.
Prim spent her collegiate playing career at Saint Joseph’s (2009-13) wherein she scored 927 points in 123 career games. She helped lead the Hawks to a mark of 82-47 in her playing career while she was a team captain during Saint Joseph’s 2012-13 Atlantic-10 Championship winning season. Prim graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in sports marketing and was a member of the Atlantic-10 and SJU Athletic Director’s Honor Rolls.
Her playing days continued as she spent time in professional leagues in five countries including Puerto Rico, Bulgaria, Ireland, Mongolia and Dubai.
Prior to SHU, Prim most-recently spent time as an assistant coach for both the Kolbe Cathedral girls’ basketball and boys’ volleyball teams in the 2018-19 season.
