FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart grad student Katherine Haines has been recognized by the Northeast Conference as its Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Haines nearly average double-double in two games, and was instrumental in leading SHU to a 2-0 week. Her 18.5 points per game, 9.5 rebounds per game, .552 field goal percentage, .750 three-point field goal percentage, and three total blocks all led the team.
In Sunday's 71-60 win at New Hampshire, Haines had a game-high 23 points and 12 rebounds on 10-of-16 shooting and a career-high three three-pointers (3-for-4). She also added two blocks, two assists and one steal.
In last Tuesday's win over Siena, she contributed 14 points, a team-high seven rebounds, one block and one steal on 6-of-13 shooting.
The Pioneers have a pair of games on the schedule for this week, beginning at Providence on Wednesday before returning home Sunday to face Monmouth.
