BUFFALO, N.Y.--The Sacred Heart Men's Wrestling team traveled to Buffalo for a dual meet against the Bulls of Buffalo University. Casey Mitchell (South Windsor, Conn.) led the Pioneers in the dual picking up a major decision at 157 pounds over Kobe Garrehy by a score of 14-3. The Pioneers unfortunately fell to the Bulls by a score of 43-4.
The Pioneers got off to a tough start giving up 24 points in the opening four matches. Mitchell ended the Buffalo momentum by getting Sacred Heart on a board after big major decision victory. In the closing five matches of the night SHU, managed to give up no pins.
The Pioneers are back in the William H. Pitt Center this weekend as they take on Hofstra University Friday, January 13th at 2:00pm in their second home dual of the season.
- Mitchell at 157 picked up the Pioneers lone win by a score of 14-3
- Elliott Antler's (Hebron, Conn.) 184 pound match came down to overtime where he fell just short, losing by a score of 2-1 to Brett Perry.
