FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart wrestling team hosted its final home dual match of the season at the Pitt Center Saturday night, falling 42-0 to the Binghamton Bearcats.

Binghamton took bonus points in each of the first three matches on its way to a 14-0 lead. At 157 pounds, Casey Mitchell escaped from Vincent DePrez three times but couldn't get the takedown he needed in the final seconds to force overtime and lost 5-3. Conan Schuster earned an escape in the second period of his match at 174 pounds against Steve Schneider, but Schneider did the same in the third period to force overtime. Schneider had an escape in the third overtime period to win the bout 2-1. Elliott Antler led 1-0 after two periods in his match against Jack McKeever. However, McKeever escaped to open the third period, then took down Antler with four seconds remaining to win 3-1.

Sacred Heart travels south to North Carolina next weekend for a pair of dual meets, beginning on Saturday, Feb. 7 at Duke.
