Robinson’s duties include planning and overseeing the day-to-day training and development of student-athletes in the throws, coaching student athletes in the discus, hammer, javelin, and weight throw along with the shot put.
Robinson spent the previous three years as the track and field throwing coach at Woodlands High School, Hartsdale, NY and as a volunteer assistant track and field coach at Manhattan College.
“We’re very excited to have Lexia join our coaching staff,” said head coach Christian Morrison. “Historically, our program has had great success in the throwing events, and we certainly look to continue that. With her background, experience, and enthusiasm, I’m certain Lexia will build on that success and will take our throws group to an even higher level”.
Robinson graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and minor in Criminology in 2014. She was a two-time NCAA Regional Qualifier, two-time Sun Belt Conference silver and bronze medalist and member of the All-Sun Belt team. Robinson is also the number three all-time Hammer thrower, number five all-time shot putter and number two all-time Discus thrower at Western Kentuky.
