Men's Track and Field Finishes Fourth in NEC Outdoor Championshp; Jean-Louis Breaks Another Record

(Emmitsburg, MD) – The Sacred Heart Men's Track and Field team finished fourth in the NEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Mount St. Mary's this weekend.

Berony Jean-Louis broke an NEC record in the 110m hurdles, pacing the competition with an IC4A qualifying time of 14.03s.  Jeremy Rosado also qualified for the IC4A, coming in second in 14.63s.

Scott Polis leapt 4.40m to finish second in Men Pole Vault, while Tyler Duhamel finished fifth with a bound of 4.10m.

Brandon Hutchinson qualified for the IC4A with a third place finish of 7.22m in the Men Long Jump.  Gregory Hazell took fifth in the Men Triple Jump with a bound of 14.46m, followed by Jean-Louis with a leap of 13.92m for seventh place and Hutchinson with a jump of 13.87m for eighth place.

Jeffery Lusignan came in fifth in in the Men 1500 Meter Dash with a finish of 3:56.18.

Christopher Connelly finished fifth in 9:29.68 in the Men 3000 Meter Steeplechase.

In the Men 4x800 Meter Relay, the team of Connelly, Lusignan, Andrew Houghtalen, and Patrick Peterson checked in third with a time of 7:47.94.

Chase Petrucci and Marc Troiani came in fifth and sixth respectively with tosses of 16.51m and 16.43m, both good enough to qualify for the IC4A.  Troiani also qualified for the IC4A in Men Discuss Throw with a fourth place finish of 47.67m.

In Men Hammer Throw, Matthew Wagner qualified for the IC4A with a toss of 53.01m. Phillip Miccio came in third with a throw of 51.98, followed by Christopher Mahl in fifth place at 50.46m and Daniel Pepitone in sixth place with a toss of 49.85m.
