Kim and Talwar Sit in Top-15 After Day One at Ryan T. Lee Collegiate

SIMSBURY, Conn. — Nathan Kim and Saptak Talwar led the Sacred Heart University men's golf team during the first round of the Ryan T. Lee Intercollegiate Saturday afternoon. After one round, both Kim and Talwar ranked among the top-15 individual golfers.

The Pioneers will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 8, when the Pioneers close play at the Ryan T. Lee Intercollegiate.

How It Happened

  • Harvard led after day one with a total score of 281 (7-under par)

  • SHU finished with a team score of 302 for 10th of 17 teams

  • SHU won the tournament last season with Talwar finishing as the top-individual

  • Talwar and Kim shot a 73 apiece in the first round, tying for 14th of 90 competitors

  • Clifford Lindholm shot 4-over in the first round

  • Jake Sullivan shot an 80 and Simon Trebon shot an 81 to round out the group
