Men's Golf Finishes in Fourth at Gary Freeman Spring Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, FL–– The Sacred Heart University men's golf team placed 4th out of 16 teams at the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational. The team shot 55-over par for a 919 total score. Augusta placed first, shooting only 14-over par.

The Pioneers had three golfers finish in the top 25. Sophomore Saptak Talwar led the Pioneers, as he tied for 11th. Talwar shot 11-over par and finished with a 227 total score. Talwar's best performance came during his final round when he shot a 74.

Alex Manner tied for 16th, however he was not far behind his teammate. Manner shot 12-over par and finished with a 228 total score.

Nathan Kim finished 3rd for the Pioneers, and tied for 23rd overall. Kim posted a +15 and 231 total score.

Hector Gutierrez, Jake Sullivan, and Clifford Lindholm rounded out the group finishing tied for 30th, 35th, and 44th respectively.

The Pioneers will take the rest of March off, and return to the green on Saturday April 6th at the Towson Invite.
