Men's Golf Concludes Play at the Lonnie Barton Invitational

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL –– The Sacred Heart men's golf team placed 8th out of 20 teams at the Lonnie Barton Invitational. The team shot 44-over par and posted a total score of 620. The tournament saw 123 golfers compete, with Sacred Heart's Nathan Kim and Hector Gutierrez finishing in the top 25.

Nathan Kim led the Pioneers, and tied for 10th. Kim finished 6-over par with a total score of 150 on the weekend. The Pioneer started the weekend off strong shooting a 73, only 1-over par, in the first round.

Hector Gutierrez tied for 23rd, shooting 10-over par and 154 total. Gutierrez posted a 78 in the first round and 76 in the second.

Clifford Lindholm was not far behind Gutierrez, finishing tied for 31st. The Pioneer shot +11 and 155 over the course of the tournament. Lindholm also shot a 78 in the first round, and finished the second round with a 77.

Saptak Talwar tied for 46th and shot 13-over par. While Alex Manner and Jake Sullivan rounded out the group. Manner tied for 54th and Sullivan tied for 85th.

The team is set to compete next at the BCU Gary Freeman Invitational. Action begins on Thursday March 7th in Daytona Beach, FL.
