DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Led by a round of +1 73 from Tom D'Andrea, the Sacred Heart men's golf team finished the first round of the Lonnie Barton Invitational at LPGA International in fourth place.

D'Andrea is tied for fourth at one over after the first round. He finished the day three strokes behind Zach Schroeder and Devin Jenkins of IPFW, who tied for the top spot on the leaderboard at -2.  Matt Shubley and Hector Gutierrez both had rounds of five-over 77 to tie for 18th place. A.J. Correia rounded out the Pioneers' scoring group with a round of 81, putting himself tied for 37th.

As a team, the Pioneers finished the day at +20 and three shots behind third-place Saint Francis U. IPFW leads the tournament at -2, followed by Wagner at +15.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday.
