ELLINGTON, Conn. – The Sacred Heart men's golf team finished play at The Connecticut Cup Tuesday at Ellington Ridge Country Club in 16th place.
Sophomore Tom D'Andrea was the Pioneers' top finisher in the tournament, tying for 32nd as an individual. D'Andrea shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at nine over par. Hector Gutierrez finished 70th at +18 after a final round of 80. Connor Cunningham had his best round of the tournament Tuesday, carding a final round 76. Cunningham tied for 71st at +19. Freshman Alex Manner finished 78th at +23. Curtis Quinn tied for 87th at +37.
The Pioneers were +81 for the tournament, 16 strokes behind UMass Lowell for 15th place. TCU won the tournament at -19 with Boston College and Dartmouth tied for second.
