Part VIII - Wide Receivers & Tight Ends

With the Pioneers breaking in a new starting quarterback in 2013, whomever gets the starting nod will have a deep receiving corp to east the transition.  Three seniors and a pair of juniors will lead the group with some talented underclassman also vying for time.

Senior Greg Moore (Newark, NJ) will be moving full-time to wide receiver in 2013, after starting his career at SHU as a running back and playing both spots last fall.  Moore caught 20 balls last season out of both the back field and in the slot.  He 150 yards receiving on the year.  Fellow senior Robert Dim (Sicklerville, NJ) had a break-out season last year and showed big play ability.  Dim hauled in 22 passes, third on the team, for a 250 yards and three scores.  He averaged 11.4 yards per catch.  Moore had a career day at Monmouth last season, catching six passes for 108 yards and a score.

Senior Rickey Moore, Jr. (Springfield, MA) also showed big play ability last fall, catching a 24-yard scoring strike in the season opener at Mogran State.  Junior Tyler Dube (Southington, CT) finished the year with 19 receptions for 217 yards and a pair of scores last season.  Dube had four catches each at Bryant and at Saint Francis U, scoring in both games.  Junior Bobby Johnson (Uncasville, CT) and sophomores Moses Webb (Manassas, VA) and Jackson King (Merrimack, NH) are also expected to see time at wide out this season.

At tight end, the Pioneers return junior starter Tim Goodwin (Ventor, NJ) to the field along with senior Robert Volk (Montrose, PA) and sophomore Frank Bakirtzis (West Orange, NJ).  Goodwin caught 11 passes last season for 134 yards and a pair of scores.  He hauled in three passes for 60 yards at Byrant including a 53-yard touchdown.
