FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Sacred Heart University men's basketball freshman guard Koreem Ozier was featured in The Journal Times, the local newspaper of Ozier's hometown of Racine, Wisconsin.
Ozier was profiled on the back page of Saturday's edition of The Journal Times by sports reporter Peter Jackel. The feature focused on Ozier's growth as a player and as a person during his freshman-campaign at SHU.
Ozier was named to the All-NEC Rookie Team after averaging 14 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Pioneers, which both ranked third among the team. Ozier ranked second among NEC freshmen in scoring and third in rebounding. Ozier scored in double-figures in 15 of the 23 games he has appeared in and eclipsed 20 points in five contests.
