Last Time Out... Behind 19 points from Sean Hoehn and a career-high 17 points from Zach Radz off the bench, SHU earned a 79-73 win over Dartmouth Tuesday night at the Pitt Center. Joseph Lopez added 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds. The Pioneers led by eight points at halftime, 40-32, and used a 12-0 run in the second half to lead by 18.
High-Percentage Points... SHU shot over 50% from the field for the second time in three games Tuesday night against Dartmouth. The Pioneers have shot at least 40% from the field in each of the last five games.
From Downtown... The Pioneers have made at least six three-pointers in five of the last six games, including a season-high nine in their first victory of the season against Maine. SHU has made 20 threes in the last three games combined and shot 36.4% from the three-point arc.
Hoehn Right At Home... Junior guard Sean Hoehn tied a career-high with 19 points in Tuesday's win over Dartmouth. He was 6-for-12 from the field with four three-pointers and also had five assists. In three home games this season, Hoehn has averaged 17.7 points per game and shot 47.5% from the field at the Pitt Center.
Radz Off The Bench... Sophomore guard Zach Radz scored a career-high 17 points in 26 minutes off the bench in Tuesday night's win over Dartmouth. Radz was 5-for-8 from the field and 5-for-7 at the free throw line. Since Nov. 19, Radz is averaging 10.5 points per game while shooting 46.3% from the field and 80% at the foul line. He has had three double-digit scoring performances in the last seven games.
All-Time Vs. Lafayette... The Leopards hold a 5-3 advantage in the series with the Pioneers. Lafayette and Sacred Heart have played every year since 2009.
Last Meeting... Six different Pioneers scored in double-figures as SHU defeated Lafayette 85-61 at the Kirby Sports Center on Dec. 11, 2016. Joseph Lopez led all players with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Sean Hoehn and Matej Buovac each had 13 points, with Cha Cha Tucker, Quincy McKnight, and Chris Robinson each scoring 12.
Scouting Lafayette... Picked to finish 10th in the Patriot League, Lafayette is 1-7 on the season after a 73-68 home loss to Penn Wednesday night. The Leopards shot 35.7% from the field in the first half, falling behind 33-24. Matt Klinewski, the Patriot League's returning leading scorer, led Lafayette with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Klinewski leads the Leopards with 19.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Lafayette averages 68 points per game while allowing 76.5.
