Quincy McKnight Named All-Met Third Team By MBWA

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sophomore guard Quincy McKnight was named to the All-Met Third Team on Monday by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association. 

This is McKnight's third postseason honor of the 2016-17 season. He was a First Team All-Conference selection by the Northeast Conference and a First Team All-District pick by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

McKnight was an All-NEC First Team selection this season, leading the Pioneers to the NEC Tournament for the third consecutive season. The sophomore guard led the Pioneers in scoring at 18.9 points per game, which put him second in the NEC. McKnight was also fourth in the conference in steals at 1.63 per game and eighth in free throw percentage at 77.5%.
He had the three highest scoring games in the NEC in the regular season, scoring 34 points against UMass Lowell on Dec. 8, 36 at Boston College on Dec. 18, and a career-high 44 points in SHU's 112-110 triple overtime win at Bryant on Jan. 14.
