FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart men's basketball sophomore guard Quincy McKnight was named First Team All-District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Wednesday.
McKnight was an All-NEC First Team selection this season, leading the Pioneers to the NEC Tournament for the third consecutive season. The sophomore guard led the Pioneers in scoring at 18.9 points per game, which put him second in the NEC. McKnight was also fourth in the conference in steals at 1.63 per game and eighth in free throw percentage at 77.5%.
He had the three highest scoring games in the NEC in the regular season, scoring 34 points against UMass Lowell on Dec. 8, 36 at Boston College on Dec. 18, and a career-high 44 points in SHU's 112-110 triple overtime win at Bryant on Jan. 14.
