Brenn Bolding joined the Sacred Heart University Athletic Training Staff in March 2017. She works primarily with the Pioneer’s football, women’s lacrosse and bowling programs. Bolding has also worked with both volleyball teams as well as women’s rugby at Sacred Heart. She worked as an ATC at Raleigh Orthopedic Clinic before coming to Sacred Heart.
A Cary, N.C. native, Bolding received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from High Point University in 2014, which is the first program in the country to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training (CAATE). After graduating from HPU, she went on to complete her Masters of Science in Athletic Training through the CAATE accredited post-professional program at the University of Kentucky in 2016.
While at the University of Kentucky, Bolding served as a graduate assistant at Centre College in Danville, K.Y. During her time at Centre, she served as the primary ATC for five Division III sports as well as the rehabilitation coordinator for all twenty-three teams.
Bolding completed an athletic training internship with the New York Football Giants in the summer of 2013 as well as USA Baseball. She has completed research on various topics throughout her educational career including concussions and chronic ankle instability.
During her time at Sacred Heart, Bolding has taken on the role of Clinical Education Coordinator for the SHU Athletic Training undergraduate program, as well as the athletics insurance coordinator.
