Full NEC Cross Country Release

Sacred Heart freshman Kathleen Henry (Basking Ridge, NJ) was named the Northeast Conference Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Henry followed up her impressive Week 1 performance with a top-five finish at the St. Francis (PA) Invitational race. Henry ran a time of 20:15, finishing just ahead of teammate Katie Duffy (20:18), to lead the Pioneers to a second place finish at the race which featured nine NEC schools. Henry was the top freshman runner at the race and the only rookie in the top-10 runners.

The Pioneers are back in action on October 1st at the Fairfield University Invitational.
