Kathleen Henry Named NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Sacred Heart's Kathleen Henry has been named the 2008-09 Northeast Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The award, announced Tuesday by the league office is sponsored by the league's Faculty Athletic Representatives and is bestowed upon an NEC male and female student-athlete who have exhausted their eligibility, graduated, and posted the highest GPA in the Conference at the conclusion of the academic year. Sacred Heart was ranked 15th in the northeast region, just behind nutmeg state rival Yale. Cross CountryFour Pioneers Earn All-NEC Honors as Women's Cross Country Takes SecondFour Underclassmen were named to the NEC All-Conference Team as SHU took second place in the conference championship race this weekend. The Pioneers have been a balanced and very deep team all season long.
