FAIRFIELD, CT - Johanna Ovsenek (London, Ontario) of the women's volleyball team has been named the Sacred Heart/Enterprise Rent-a-Car Student Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 25.

Ovsenek helped the Pioneers to a perfect 3-0 week on the court, hitting .257 with 34 kills, five digs, four assists, two service aces and 13 total blocks as SHU took out FDU 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-18) on Wednesday, CCSU 3-1 (25-20, 26-24, 15-25, 25-22) on Saturday and Bryant 3-1 (25-20, 19-25, 25-10, 25-11) on Sunday.

She had a career-high 13 kills, hitting a hefty .478, in the win over FDU, along with four assists, two aces, three digs, a solo block and four block assists. She followed that up by besting her career high in kills with 14 against CCSU and added four block assists. She added seven more kills and four block assists as the Pioneers won their sixth straight match, defeating Bryant University.
