Final Stats

FAIRFIELD, CT - Senior Kristin Buter had 12 kills, while junior Shirley Miller had 16 digs to help the Saint Francis University women's volleyball team take a 3-2 (22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 23-25, 15-13) decision over host Sacred Heart in a Northeast Conference match on Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers made 26 errors on their serves, while collecting just six aces. Nine of those errors came in game two, a 25-20 loss for the Pioneers.

Freshman Brittany Best led the SHU attack with 19 kills, while Maile Hetherington (Thousand Oaks, CA) added 18 and freshman Ashlyn Trimble (Temecula, CA) had 14.

Sophomore Courtney Kidd-Kadlubek (Santa Barbara, CA) had 52 more assists for the Pioneers and now has 962 for the year, just 17 away from the school single-season record.

The Pioneers will play the final home game of the season tomorrow at 1:00 pm against Robert Morris University.
