Final Stats

FAIRFIELD, CT - The Providence College women's volleyball team came to SHU Tuesday night looking for a little revenge. The Pioneers had beaten Providence two weeks ago to win Friar Classic but the Friars returned the favor by blanking SHU 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-19).

Sacred Heart, now 12-5, committed a season-high 20 service errors in the match.

Providence, 11-10, only had 22 kills in the seven games but took advantage of the 20 Pioneer service errors as well as 26 attack errors. Elizabeth Flynn led the Friars with eight kills, while Jeanette Toney added six.

Freshman Maile Hetherington (Thousand Oaks, CA) was the only Pioneer to reach double digits on attack with 15 kills. Freshman Ashlyn Trimble (Temecula, CA) led the defense with 14 dogs.
