Final Stats

NEWARK, NJ - Freshman Ashyln Trimble (Temecula, CA) recorded her second double-double of the day with 13 kills and 13 digs to lead the Sacred Heart women's volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-23,25-21,25-20) win over the New Jersey Institute of Technology in the NJIT Invitational Saturday night.

Sacred Heart, 6-4, finished the tournament in second place with a 2-1 record. Freshmen Maile Hetherington (Thousand Oaks, CA) and Brittany Best (Norco, CA) were both named to the All-Tournament team.

Best also recorded a double-double in the NJIT match with 12 kills and ten digs, while Hetherington had 11 kills. Freshman Jessica Colberg (Long Beach, CA) led all defenders with 20 digs.

The loss dropped NJIT to 2-6.
