Sacred Heart's Kathleen Henry has been named the 2008-09 Northeast Conference Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The award, announced Tuesday by the league office is sponsored by the league's Faculty Athletic Representatives and is bestowed upon an NEC male and female student-athlete who have exhausted their eligibility, graduated, and posted the highest GPA in the Conference at the conclusion of the academic year. 6/1/2009 - W. TrackJamie Kilis Competes in NCAA East RegionalSenior thrower Jamie Kilis (Marlbourough, CT) competed in the NCAA East Regional this weekend in Greensboro, NC. Kilis qualified for the hammer throw event in the ECAC Championships held in Princeton, NJ May 17. The Pioneer graduate student unleashed a 54.50 meter toss in the seeding round before fouling in the finals. [+] |

TrackKilis Qualifies for NCAA East RegionalSacred Heart's Jamie Kilis (Marlbourough, CT) has qualified for the NCAA East Regional Championship in the hammer throw after competing in the ECAC Championships this weekend. Kilis finished seventh in the event as her toss of 54.54 meters met the standard to advance into the NCAA Regional. This year's regional will be held May 29-30 in Amherst, MA. [+] |

TrackSacred Heart University Wins Back-to-Back Northeast Conference Commissioner's CupsFor the second-consecutive year, the Sacred Heart University athletic program has been awarded the Northeast Conference Commissioner's Cup winning the 2008-09 title on the strength of five league championships this season. In addition, Sacred Heart won the NEC Women's Cup Championship for the third-straight year and for the first time in program history won the NEC Men's Cup Championship as well, sweeping all three awards.
