East Regional Results (Day 1)

Senior thrower Jamie Kilis (Marlbourough, CT) competed in the NCAA East Regional this weekend in Greensboro, NC. Kilis qualified for the hammer throw event in the ECAC Championships held in Princeton, NJ May 17. The Pioneer graduate student unleashed a 54.50 meter toss in the seeding round before fouling in the finals.

Kilis’ first round throw would have placed her seventh in the finals but a foul erased her second throw of the day. This concludes a successful season for Sacred Heart track as the Pioneer women captured a CTC title and finished second in the Northeast Conference. The men’s squad also earned a CTC crown, finished third in the NEC, and placed eighth at New England’s.
