SHU Win The 4x100 And Triple Jump, Competing In 3 Different Meets
Sacred Heart was represented in three different meets this past weekend. On Friday, SHU competed against a stacked field at the Sam Howell Invitational, hosted by Princeton.
 
The quartet of Adrianna Forcucci, Abigail Johnson, Camille McKenzie and Tanaya Wade won the 4x100 in a time of 49.89.
 
Antonia Hoyos was 1st in the triple jump, leaping 10.57 meters. She was also 2nd in the long jump at 4.90 meters. The rookie currently ranks 8th in the NEC in the triple jump.
 
Erika Johnson was 3rd in the discus throw, with a season best mark that was just shy of the New England standard. Her throw of 38.88 meters ranks her 4th in the NEC.
 
Kathryn Matrisciano took 3rd in a field of 41 shot putters, her mark of 12.25m establishing her as 4thin the NEC right now.
 
At the Mark Young Invite, Jillian Kilmer set a new personal best in the long jump, taking 4th in the meet with a leap of 5.25 meters. She moves into 4th in the NEC at this point in the season. Her clearance in the high jump, 1.50m (4'11 ft.) is 7th in the conference right now. 
 
Selina Sampieri made her best height of the season in the pole vault, 3.55m, to establish herself 7th in NEC rankings and clear the New England standard.

The Pioneers are back in action Friday 20. April at the at Larry Ellis Invitational and Friday Night Distance Races at Princeton University, NJ.
